Happy New Year everybody!

I’m here to make my First-Post-of-the-Year! Heehee!

2011, Ta-ta!

The past year felt extremely surreal and I have no idea why. It seemed like a million lightyears, yet this ‘million lightyears’ sort of zoomed past me within a mere fraction of a second. To be totally honest, I still have not grown accustomed (not even a little) to being a poly kid. Just now, after having cracked my head trying to come up with a title for this “New Year Resolution Post” (and eventually decided to settle for the year), I went to type ‘2011’ instead of ‘2012’. Yeah yeah, I’m still stuck in time. It’s hard to believe that one year has passed since I got my O level results and this makes me feel downright disappointed with myself because it only goes to show what I have been doing for the past one year – nothing. Urgh.

Okay, maybe many things happened in spite of me claiming that they are ‘nothing’, but what I’m trying to point out (to myself) is, none of the things that happened in school were embedded in my brain. Be it studies or what happened in class or what never happened in class or whatever. I know I’m not making much sense. I’ve never made much sense anyway. Hohoho. So, before I go on ranting about how I’ve wasted 2011, let’s take a look at last year’s resolutions:

2011 Resolutions

#1 Good results
Well well well, I should really congratulate myself on not defining what’s ‘good’ last year. Teehee. What I thought was ‘good’ at first was later on changed to ‘below average’ so yeah, I could sort of say I succeeded 🙂

‘Good’, like most adjectives, is inaccurate and cannot be measured unless you compare it to something else or if you give the adjective a definition. For example, a dwarf can claim to be tall and you cannot rebutt him because he will be speaking the truth if you compare him to an elf. But if he goes “I’m taller than the giants!”, then that is a downright lie. But if you define an elf as being tall in the first place, then the dwarf may say something like “Yippe yay, I’m taller than the tall!” Get it?

#2 Manage my time wisely
Again, this is an unmeasurable goal but I think I did well though. Because I finally realised that time management was never a problem for me. It’s self-discipline & lack of interest that are hindering my path to success. So, I think I did well for this too 🙂

Okay, so let’s fast forward >>
Before I make a list of goals, let me tell you something interesting first.
This is the first time in my life that I’m reflecting on past year resolutions (hahaha!)
I would normally make a list of resolutions for new year and then it will be either:

a) I lose it
b) I forget about it
c) I lose AND forget about it
d) It’s too long and impossible so I choose to lose it intentionally
e) It’s too long and impossible so I choose to lose it AND forget about it

HAHAHAHA!!! Okie, so this year I finally made it a point to review my resolutions.
Congratulations Siqi ^^V Heeheehee!

2012 Resolutions

#1 Write
#2 Be brave
#3 Don’t think (too much), just do!

If you recall, these are 3 of the 5 points about “How to Be Happy with Myself” in my previous post. So in conclusion, I just wish to ‘be happy with myself’ this year 🙂

2012, Hello!

Okay so now a list of things that would be happening this year:

1) DGG’s Banquet
2) SP/DBS/Y1/S2

That’s it, I’ve gotta go. Ta-ta!
