Hello, I am terribly ill-prepared.
For FYP, NAPFA and the likes.
Please stop here if you do not wish to read about my rants. LOL. Below are just elaborations of why I’m feeling so ill-prepared, and it does sound quite whiny indeed.
I’ve always dreaded doing RT-PCR even though it is possibly one of the simplest experiments to do. Perhaps because I still do not fully understand its underlying concepts and am guilty to use the results obtained?
Anyway, that’s besides the point. After finally succeeding at mentally persuading myself to run a round of real-time yesterday evening, I could not. HAHAHA. We ran out of the enzyme mix and it seems as if the other lab ain’t gonna continue ordering from the same company anytime soon. Meaning, no more real-time for the time being. Whaaaaaaat?
And this sucks because the report’s due in a month’s time and I still haven’t finish collecting three sets of results for anything at all. What’s worse is that even western blots have been giving me problems. Ah, I really hate it when I can’t standardise stuff. So messy. I cannot.
And NAPFA hahahahaaha. It’s been N years since I last ran. Am extremely tempted to skip the whole thing altogether. Or…. I could always choose to go ahead and humiliate myself at the SBJ and 2.4 stations, just for the sake of having “participated”. HAHAHA.
